About Damage absorb void skill, is this a bug or it can be carried

    Posted: 06 Mar 2020 10:52 AM PST

The picture might showed itself. I try to clean the endless corridors and just noticed this. You can see I have used Yogi skill a while ago as both had had popped up again tho the Damage absorb void skill was still there. I had never seen this before so wondered is this skill actually can carry through or this is just a bug?

Why Tier Lists are Not a Reliable Resource

    Posted: 06 Mar 2020 10:34 AM PST

    1. Perhaps the most important reason, any team in any tier list is entirely useless if you do not own the monsters for that team.
      1. So, should you factor availability into a tier list? A lead like BVeroah is undoubtedly powerful, but not very accessible. A team like VSonia Nidhogg is far more accessible, but perhaps not the "best" option for any given dungeon. A team like Nere x Yugi, I am told, requires extremely specific subs due to the double attribute requirement, but people can easily see the appeal.
    2. The second most important reason is that tier lists inevitably focus on "general play." What does that even mean? Clearing a hard dungeon once? Clearing a rewarding dungeon multiple times, safely and quickly? Usually people refer to something in-between, which can get vague. Not to mention that hard dungeons vary vastly, and have many different mechanics from each other; taking a team built for A5 into Colo2 is not going to end well.
    3. Tier lists are also incredibly subjective. In this game, I do not trust a tier list made by one person. I don't even care if they are a whale and in fact own every single card in the game, and have played and made and tested every single team in the game multiple times: see #1. You likely cannot copy their teams, or even if you can make a poor imitation, it might not be worth it anyway.
    4. Every player is also subjective. What you want to do might not align with what the tier list creator wants to do. I have literally never seen anyone make a "proper" tier list, in my mind, because they will always try to rank several important goals at once. How do you weigh those different goals? Is an A5 farming team "better" or "worse" than a team trying to clear Colo2? Are you trying to take advantage of coop stamina, and have to deal with entirely different mechanics? There is no answer because the goals are vastly different. The only tier list I would ever agree with is one that clearly states which dungeon it is for and why. No one wants to make 9 different tier lists, one for each different dungeon or goal, so they always mash every goal together, and end up with a mess.
    5. Tier lists usually focus only on team leaders. A sub tier list is harder to create and has its own challenges. Are subs that see common use on many different teams "worth more" than a highly specific sub for one very powerful team? There is no clear rule for comparing those two.
    6. Farming teams are usually excluded from these lists. What is the relative value of making Dios? Other color boards? More niche tools? Button tools? How much farming matters to any given player is subjective, so it is impossible to create a tier list that ranks farming tools even remotely accurately. So everyone just ignores the whole thing. Is it about popularity? It can't be, because Colo2 is a major factor on tier lists currently, and I'd bet more people farm at least a little than can attempt to clear Colo2.

What good is a tier list, then? Well, to me, it serves as quick information on what teams people are commonly using to repeatedly and safely, but not necessarily quickly, clear end game, arena-style dungeons, or incredibly difficult "challenge" dungeons that simply cannot be beaten by a "farming" build. You cannot just stop there, however. Because tier lists never directly state which goal each team is being ranked on, you are responsible for figuring that out yourself, and more importantly, figuring out why that team is effective, what substitutions you can make for your own box, and if those substitutions would be "worth" using (or if those substitutions will end up with a weak, poor imitation that simply doesn't work). If you can accomplish the goals of the team, then it works. If you can't, it doesn't work.

At that point, a "tier list" might as well just be a "list of commonly used leaders (and subs) for X dungeon." The latter would be far more helpful than trying to juggle 7 different dungeons and 9 different goals with consideration for availability of subs, and put them all in some arbitrary order so that one is "better" than another when they do entirely different things.

what qualities should I look for in leaders? I’ve been using Dark Ideal for the leader skill on one team and Ney for the easy multiplier and massive move time boost on another. are they bad choices? which series should I spin for? what leader should I be trying to get?

If you want to try and make 100% attribute reduction teams, all of the Sky Dragons that drop from Sonia Gran Reverse have four reduced ATT. damage awakenings

    Posted: 05 Mar 2020 03:26 PM PST

Is this happening to anyone else? (I'm referring to the extra skill boost.) (Usually there is only 3, maybe the DBDC is coming back with buffs?......)
