So how many of the red and blue dragons do I need? Is having 3 of each enough? Thanks

    Improvements

    Posted: 22 Nov 2021 10:35 PM PST

I know there have been a few threads lately about the game going stale, and the endgame mechanics becoming overbearing to teambuild against. So my point here is two-fold.

    1) What improvements could make the game more approachable?

1A) Mechanics Preview: Many common complaints I have and other people have brought up is about going into a dungeon blind. I've seen in suggested before that there should be some indication of what's in a dungeon before you enter. I would imagine something like the awakenings list on the team builder page, but selectable on a dungeon itself, at it would show the icon for each status effect X(number of instances). It wouldn't be perfect, but it wouldn't be completely blind. Pre-emptive damage amounts should be listed too.

1B) Execute range marked on Health bar: This one is pretty simple, put a bracket or something on the UI where a spawn's execute range is so we know it's there.

1C) Show the spawn increasing its attack before a turns based execute. Example: Saria's execute in MD gives no indication it's coming. Well executed executes should be obvious when they are about to happen.

What other changes could be made for better UI and fewer surprise mechanics? Ideally the puzzling side should give us the tools to plan ahead and not be practically required to look up an outside floor guide to teambuild and play dungeons.

And finally my much shorter point -

    2) Is there any way to get suggestions to GungHo? If community leaders took a list of popular requests, would they consider making changes? Is there no drive to see any of these changes on the JP side that would eventually trickle to the NA server? I am curious as to what is at play here and if GungHo would respond to community feedback.

y'all mind if i use majeh to theorize about DBDC/SDKH's connection?

    Posted: 23 Nov 2021 07:45 AM PST

(get comfy cause this is a long speculation; tl;dr's are at the end)

there's no doubt that i love SDKH (perhaps to an unhealthy extent but hey reject humanity embrace demon dragons).
being a die-hard fan, i've searched far and wide for even more things related to SDKH like lore.
and i'm proud to say that the lore i found was a rabbit hole to behold

it was a short translation i found by the people who run the translation blog in a SDKH post i somehow overlooked for a while

in short, the post there provides a translated tale of seven destructive dragons spawning from a "crystal of desire" (gorfeis' crystals? gorkaos' crystals? the rainbow crystal???), being sealed away in eggs by heroes wielding key magic (presumably the warrior, the sage, the tempest, the blessed, and the angel), and then being re-released years later (whether it was with the wicked keys or not is something i don't know)

the thing to note is that the sin dragons were indeed around for quite some time

but in-terms of in-game appearances AND the DBDC lore, majeh has been mentioned longer

when SDKH was first released, it was a surprise to see that the hungry fellow was the only sin dragon who appeared previously in the game as kiri's contract dragon, but the JP website's bio for kiri sheds some light on the sin dragons that had me floored

here's the main things you should know about what i found in her bio:
    - once upon a time, kiri's village was attacked by the sin dragons
    - attempting to retreat into the village's shrine, kiri's parents were killed and (presumably) eaten by majeh
    - kiri used that traumatic event as a catalyst to join the dragonbound group intent on ridding the world of dragons
    - kiri gathered the power to make majeh her contract dragon, but only to help destroy dragons as a whole

majeh is absolutely a unique sin dragon/contract dragon

but the question that led me to make this post is "how can he be used to establish the SDKH timeline further?"

unfortunately, that's where things gets tricky

if majeh was locked into the egg before the contracting happened, that would mean the sin dragons' second rampage lasted much longer than their first
    - but what would the sin dragons have destroyed in their first rampage?
    - why didn't the old heroes re-lock them instead of leaving them free to ravage those villages?
    - why would it take hundreds(?) of in-game years until the new key heroes came to be when the second rampage probably happened twice as long?
    - where's kiri during the events of the sin dragon dungeon(s)? wouldn't she come to protect majeh since she needs him for the dragon-cleansing?

if majeh was locked into the egg after the contracting happened, what would the story of kiri's separation from majeh entail?
    - did the old heroes have to fight kiri to seal majeh away?
    - wouldn't she die since that's what would've happened if the world was cleansed of dragons and majeh? (unless contract dragons don't necessarily have to be fused with their dragonbound which is the implication i get from those contract dragon dungeons)

my theory/speculation conforms to the latter question

the simplest possible interpretation i have is that the old key heroes found and fought with the dragon-killing dragonbounds to seal away majeh, stripping kiri of her powers but not killing her

and my interpretation for the old key heroes' absence at the dragons' releasing is that they died from natural causes before the eggs were tampered with

tl;dr 1: the SDKH lore is that the sin dragons were rampaging, sealed by the old heroes, and then released by something else to rampage again, thus springing the new key heroes into action

tl;dr 2: according to DBDC lore, kiri contracted majeh to help advance the "world without dragons" agenda after the sin dragons destroyed her village and killed her parents

tl;dr 3: my speculation is that the old key heroes (the warrior, the sage, the tempest, the blessed, and the angel) fought with the "world without dragons" group in order to reseal majeh

tl;dr 4: the absence of majeh between DBDC and SDKH is the amount of time he was sealed with the other sin dragons

who knew that a four-mouthed(?) beast could cause so many questions to be asked?

if y'all have your own interpretations or if there's any detail i missed, by all means chip in :)

Hidden Treasure Challenge 1 - one team for all rewards

    Posted: 22 Nov 2021 04:34 PM PST

I just died to Pattie in MD1

    Posted: 23 Nov 2021 07:02 AM PST

And I couldn't be more proud!

I've been stressing about MD1 and Valk - CIEL's new dungeon for the gems and new sub opportunities for my oak (and not to mention the 85 stones for PCGF). I haven't had confidence and have been losing pretty badly.

I was able to get Sea Wolf, and yesterday YOLO rolled mystics and specters and got a Seina. What luck!

I felt a bit more confident my team could make it but another concern was PSI and then my equips. I have some great ones but seem to miss some key equips people use in their clears so I kept teambuilding and teambuilding until my confidence was good enough to try.

I was able to make it to Pattie, by far the farthest yet! I died due to my HP being lowered by Kamimusubi on the previous floor and honestly just not having the dungeon or mechanic knowledge.

But that's okay, I had satisfaction every floor I overcame and excitement about the next floor. Even though I lost out it was the best time I've had in PAD in awhile.

So I know I'll get there soon. I just have to keep trying. But it was nevertheless exciting!

Not to mention I learned that with my set up I am able to damage cap on sea wolf with his sub (heh) attribute as well, and my BDenebola hit double damage cap on both main and sub damage on a basic red/blue/heart board.

Wild. This game is something else!

Is this the end? (My beautiful friends)

    Posted: 22 Nov 2021 09:07 AM PST

Having read the post a few days ago regarding end game, i'm finding myself being very reflective on my own PAD adventures.

I have loved this game for years. For me its the perfect mobile experience in terms of entertainment. It has kept me hooked longer than any mobile game so far.

However, i'm finding myself logging in more and more and not using stamina. At first i thought i was just burnt out, so i gave it a few days and then had a crack at SR3 using Sea Wolf (a dungeon i have completed many times)

First run i got the red colour absorb. I stuck it out until 2 where i accidentally overshot and activated the fairy rage. Couldn't tank and died after 5 minutes of stalling, but thought 'one more go'. Next run i got red again. Quit.

Attempted the new dungeon. Died a few times due to certain mechanics. Quit.

Now i know it isn't burnout as such, its that i'm just not enjoying the harder content. It's not difficult in a sense of 'man these guys hit hard' but rather 'oh great i died from something out of my control based on random luck after investing 10mins'

The sad fact is i feel apart from these dungeons there is nothing else to do. Whats the point in the latest and newest leads when the outcome is always random? It annoys me when people say "well change your team" - based on a 20% probability? Thats not fun at all. I hate the idea you just have to 'suck it up' if the odds don't go your way.

I'm going to take a break for a few weeks and just log in for stuff.

I get there have been a few posts like this and it may annoy some to see them - but i feel i'm joining a big part of the community right now getting tired of cheap gimmick dungeons that make over half your monster box obsolete.

Peace out and see you all soon ✌

[PSA] Farm Half Stamina Numen Dungeons for Huge Gem fodder

    Posted: 22 Nov 2021 06:42 PM PST

For those that aren't aware, farming Numen is probably one of the easiest ways to stock up on Huge gem fodder as the dungeons are easy (compared today's end game standards) and do not need evolving to exchange to their gems!

Numen dungeons are here on rotation for the next couple weeks and are also half stamina so great opportunity to stock up.

    Descended Dungeon Schedule

    11/22 (Mon), 0:00 - 11/25 (Thu), 23:59 (PST)... Borma Descended!

    11/25(Thu), 0:00 - 11/28 (Sun), 23:59 (PST)... Keela Descended!

    11/28 (Sun), 0:00 - 12/1 (Wed), 23:59 (PST)... Mowa Descended!

    12/1 (Wed), 0:00 - 12/4 (Sat), 23:59 (PST)... Zapan Descended!

    12/4 (Sat), 0:00 - 12/7 (Tue), 23:59 (PST)... Byuto Descended!

u/KazRyn also posted recently that JP has an exchange for blue Rex, light Sara or fire Hera Luna gems using huge gems. More details at:

Speculation thread for the what’s coming with the maintenance tomorrow

    Posted: 22 Nov 2021 06:09 PM PST

I'll start. I know it's not GH collab cause of the expiration date on the PEM, so that's ruled out. Star Wars is almost certainly ruled out too. I'm thinking Hello Kitty is next. Probably new dungeon content too. Any other thoughts?

Team Hyperion 3P Amen Carry Event

    Posted: 22 Nov 2021 02:26 PM PST

    Hey all!

There's a new Descended Dungeon, so you know what that means--Hyperion is excited to offer another 3P carry event, this time for Amen Descended.

You can check out the 3P build here. (Big thanks to Cookie, Ramen, and WetTheSystem for crafting the builds.)

The team you would need to bring is the 3rd image in the Imgur album. You'll need to bring Zeus & Hera, Hera, Hera, and Trailo (for 100% gravity), and enough SB to have them all up on your first turn).

    Here's the schedule:

    • Tonight! Monday (11/22) 9pm EST
    • Wednesday (11/24) 9pm EST

(Tune in to WetTheSystem's Stream if you'd like to watch!)

    How to sign up:

We hope folks are on their way to a happy holiday break this week; be safe if you're traveling!

    --Team Hyperion

EDIT: Clarified carry team requirements in the post.

    Last minute Dai trade?

    Posted: 22 Nov 2021 03:04 PM PST

Returning player after a semi-hiatus. Been rolling in the background and doing some easier dungeons but didn't bother with endgame stuff.

I was thinking about catching up and I pulled a lucky Daytona. I can support it with a HCotton (one only) and a Belial. I can trade some dupes for Dai. Would it be worth it? Also any suggestions for the last sub? I have been playing for a few years now so I have a decent box, but I haven't really followed the endgame meta super closely so not sure what's hot anymore.

    Any suggestions appreciated!

I exchanged for Dai and you know what? I might just bite the bullet and get Baran too, cuz why the heck not
