Apparently, Gungho lied. Instead of buffing just one of the great witches, they're buffing four. Not exactly sure why, but can't exactly complain, lmao.

edit: nvm, apparently, he announced otherwise sometime between the initial announcement

Base Nelle:

LS now only requires 6 orbs instead of 7 orbs for full multiplier.

Transformed Nelle:

LS now only requires 6 orbs instead of 7 orbs for full multiplier.

AS CD reduced from 6 to 4 turns.

Nelle equip

Now voids elemental absorption for two turns on top of damage absorption

Remu:

LS autoFUA now 5million, up from 1million

AS reduced from 5 to 3 turns

Reeche:

AS reduced from 30 to 25 turns

Base Reeche (TPA):

Added SB+

Reeche(evo form):

Added Skill Charge awakening, TE > TE+

Zela(evo form)

AS now heavily reduces damage (75% probably), CD reduced from 16 to 14 turns

TE > TE+, SB > SB+

Thoughts:

Nelle's functionality is still the same in spite of the buff. Having the requirements go down from 7 orbs to 6 orbs can help out in some cases where there aren't enough orbs, but in practice, there probably aren't that many floors in late game content that can be cleared with just that, since you're missing out on row damage. The decreased CD on AS is pretty sweet though, could increase her viability as a sub with a quick fujin active.

Her equip is probably the most relevant buff in this whole cycle, however. In Alt Shura, meta dark teams can get fucked over by Light Menoa. Having an equip that not only offers fully enhanced dark orbs and offers double absorption negation is very useful, for any dark teams, and is probably going to be useful for a long while due to sheer utility.

Remu doesn't change much for later content, though combined with the new badge, let's her bypass absorbs and damage voids with her autoFUA (fuck you Sopdet, i guess). Active buff is ok, but it's not like you were going to use it off cooldown due to spawning roulette orbs

Evo Reeche gets a substantial boost in viability. New Year's Reeche is bar none, one of the best subs in rainbow teams due to having a highly accessible means of dealing with both color and damage absorption. Regular Reeche could already fulfill that role as a budget option, but was much more inefficient until now. Shaving a full 5 turns of CD combined with an additional skill charge helps her out greatly.

Zela, well...the most relevant change honestly is her additional skill boost, though I guess if you really want to survive a turn where her active can't net you a kill board, I guess there's that. Even with her CD buff though, her long active CD combined with her lack of utility awakenings means she's still going to be on the back burner, especially since wood leads have been pushed out of top tier for quite a while.

Three Quick Questions

Sorry for dumb questions, I'm an incredibly casual player, moreso into collecting than playing but I'd like to be okay at the game.

1) Is Reincarnated Shirou a good lead?

2) What's the best way to set your leads for friends? Main in slot 2, alternate in slot 1? Or reverse?

3) Where do I get a VDP latent for my MA Raijin? I think that's the only thing left to get for my team, aside from a good Light/Fire Attacker. I'm currently using SR Shiva.
