[Guide] Only one day left for the ranking! Don't forget to grab your easy 2 stones!

    Posted: 02 May 2020 10:12 AM PDT

Just a heads up that there's a ranking dungeon about to end, so grab your clear stone and easy rewards if you haven't! The cutoff for a stone reward is 60%, which is doable with most normal teams.

For clearing moderately quickly and grabbing the <20% or <30% rewards, you'll want:

    • Unbindable leads (Floor 2)
    • VDP and an orb maker for Kopis (Floor 4)
    • FUA for Sherospada (Floor 6)
    • To be able to do ~70m damage off a natural board for Sandalphon (Floor 9). God or healer killers help, so try Set, Winged Dragon (untransformed), Selica, base Shelling Ford, Viz, Roots, etc.

Random example team that can get around 20% (107k+): King Brachys (VDP SA)/Winged Dragon/Gx Verdandi(any assist)/Reincarnated Set/anything/King Brachys.

MAKE SURE TO MATCH NOTHING ON FLOOR 8! Floor 8 is Scheat, who will lock the board as a preemptive and then suicide her first turn. The next floor's Sandalphon has a preemptive of full board spinners. Clearing any orbs on Scheat will make Sandalphon a living hell unless you relock the board, let him put up his turn 1 void shield (which will probably kill your score), or slowly manipulate the spinners (which will definitely kill your score).

If you're looking for a <10% score (149k+) or crown (178k+), I recommend you check the ranking guide on Discord! Crowning requires guard breaks and lots of speed. Our cutoff is currently higher than the cutoff was in JP, so this is a pretty difficult crown to grab.

    Good luck!

[Discuss] EU IAP - Unfair prices compared with US?

    Posted: 02 May 2020 02:21 PM PDT

Hello guys, I am a player from the EU and now playing on the US server via an APK. I Still love this game after the fiasco of EU, but I noticed that the prices are really different as what it used to be, even to the point that it feels really unfair. As we all know, currently the Euro has a higher currency value rate than the dollar.

I saw the notification of the 85 magic stones bundle and decided to buy it. The price is listed as $59 , without taxes I assume. But when I am in the buyout option, the price changes to $69. While I am aware of taxes, the price shouldn't be a whopping 10$ increase. Even so, it's still unfair for us EU players who basically need to pay more for the same value as US players have.

For any EU players that do spend IAP for this game, is there a way to change currency to dollars so that we are not affected by the price increase? $69 is like €62 euro's , it's like they think that $59 is the same as €59 and then they even have the nerve of adding tax on that price. Maybe if they would explain why I could reason with it, but even so, paying more for the same value is really a turn-off for me.

Before you guys are saying that I am not forced to buy it, that's true, but I am generally curious about why there is so much price difference between US and EU. Because as far as I know it's not like a product from EU will cost more for people that are living in the US. So why is it for people from EU? It feels like an unfair greedy marketing strategy that really is of no benefit at all for the consumer (like usually) but in this case, also unfair to the point that it looks like a scam.

    Team building help!

    Posted: 02 May 2020 07:49 AM PDT

Hiyo puzzlers, I'm a relatively new player to this game (~6 months, started seriously playing around the yugioh collab), and I've whaled out a lot since then.

Below is most of my box, I have most of the meta leads like Fasca nelle Alice, but I'm so lost on how to make a better team for end game (I haven't even completed training arena). I've been running a alastair Akine team cuz I thought it was good, but recently realized it's terrible for pretty much all end game.

I have all the SAO and Gintama monsters, and a whole bunch of GFE stuff, but I'm super lost now. I only just realized Akine x Akine is way better than what I've been using.

Any help is greatly appreciated, thank you!

Some Nerd's Guide to End-game Team Building

    Posted: 01 May 2020 03:34 PM PDT

So I've decided to make a blanket post to try and help all of these team help posts in the subreddit. It will be a step-by-step guide to teambuilding, mostly in a vague sense.

    #Step 1: Finding a Lead Pair

So the first step to building a team is finding the lead pair. There are a few things that you want to look for when finding your lead pair.

    ## Overlap restrictions

When making your lead pair, you want to overlap the restrictions that befall them. For example, you want to pair an attacker restricting leader like faska with another attacker restricting lead like lampaid. This is just a way to create a larger sub-pool to draw from, but as a general rule you don't want to pair a leader like lampaid with a leader like dark lilia because you just draw too many restrictions

    ## Reduce redundancies

Recently, the meta in PAD has shifted to have the leaders include more than damage shield, HP, RCV, and ATK. There are new mechanics like autofua, 7x6 boards, and poison void that do nothing when stacked on top of each other. You don't want to pair an ina with another ina or a nelle with another nelle. Asymetrical lead pairing are now extremely viable and even may be the standard.

    # Step 2: Finding subs

The second step to creating a team after finding your lead pair is finding your sub's. As a general rule, you want to have all of your subs fit the leaders' requirments. However, you can always squeeze in a few off-type subs like a powlowne of a Grigory team or a hbastet on a yugi x nelle team. There are a few things that you want when teambuilding for subs

    1. Stats (HP, RCV)
    2. Utility
    3. Damage
    4. VDP solutions
    5. SB
    6. Leader specific
    7. Orb Changers
    8. SBR

In general, you want to have at least 150k HP and enough RCV to heal 75k a turn to clear end game Alt. Arenas. Stat sticks like Amatsu and BCotton come to mind when filling in this catagory.

Utility is also very important. Just to list a few things you may need in a dungeon you want to fill out:

    1. Hazard Resists
    2. Fujin
    3. RCV Rebuff
    4. TE Rebuff
    5. Damage Spike
    6. Full Unbind (incl. Awoken)
    7. + combo count (not needed often)
    8. Damage void peirce
    9. Unmatchable status reduce (not needed often)

Damage sticks are also a staple of many teams. For example, Kaiba, Deena, Faska, and Bakura are all damage sticks of their respective teams that can hit 50x personal damage multipliers. This is mostly neccessary in dungeons like colo2 where enemy health is in the billions.

VDP solutions can be solved in 2 main ways in NA, or 3 in JP.

The awakening: You want to be able to set up a vdp (ties in to orb changers) and have the sub hit at least 25x personal damage while doing so.

The active: you need to be able to deal with back-to-back spawns.

The latent (JP only): you need to have high team damage as a rainbow team deals with a lack of atk (Aten aside).

SB: Skill boosts where somewhat needed even before the age of the transform meta, as you needed to have a catch early on in certain dungeons.

Team Specific: You need to have enough effective SB to transform t1 with certain leads and subs. You may need rows for a row team like lampaid. You may need orb skyfall for a lead like Alice. This is really a catch-all requirment.

Orb Changers: having a kill board for the boss or just being able to consistently VDP with fast-orb-changers like winged dragon can really help bring the pace up.

100% SBR is neccesarry for almost every dungeon at this point.

    # Step 3: Assists

There are a few things you want to cover with an assist

    1. Missed SBR
    2. Missed bindablity
    3. Hazards
    4. Utility awakenings
    5. Utility actives
    6. Leader-specific
    7. Damage

SBR is a must have for any dungeon, so if you are missing 1-2 you need to slap on a rikuu or a kuriboh onto your team.

If a sub is bindable, being able to slap an umbrella onto the sub can help a lot

The big thing assists cover is hazards; being able to be immune to poisons, sticky blind, cloud, tape, etc. can trivialize certain spawns like sevenzard and moby dick.

Utility Awakenings: ties in with hazard resist, but an equip can also have something like heart OE or team hp+.

Utility actives: normally, you don't put long actives on an assist if you intend to use them (unless its for a boss kill), but having something like a jammer skyfall for aa3 and a5 can improve your clear rate drastically.

Leader-specific: if you need a 99 turn skyfall or SB slap it onto an active.

Damage: one of the least important aspects, but if you have room, a nelle equip or a <50% equip can increase team damage wayyy too much.

    # Step 4: Latents

    Simple checklist for latents:

Am I having trouble killing a spawn?

Yes? Slap 1-2 killers and 2-4 SDR on a damage dealer for the spawn for the spawn

    # Step 5: Fine Tuning for a Dungeon

Sometimes you can't fit everything on the checklist on a team. That's fine and completely normal. Just fine tune your team to include the things the specfic dungeon needs.

    # Step 6: Clear Your Dungeon

    Monster Box Sorting/Filter

    Posted: 02 May 2020 08:01 AM PDT

Anyone know how to do these sorting/filter methods:

    1) Filter for monsters that have an EQUIP evolution available, but you may have to devolve/evolve first

    2) Monster has a base Equip awoken (i think if u go to manage assist, and filter for equip awoken this will have the intended result. i want to be able to do it from Monster Box)

[Team] Alternative leader pairings for Nelle.

    Posted: 02 May 2020 11:46 AM PDT

So I have been pairing my new Nelle with friend Yugi, but the sub pool is so restrictive. I dont have some of the most popular subs like Dark Magician or Winged Dragon.

Current team is Nelle / Evo Yugi / DMG / Revo DB Luci / flex sub / FL Yugi

I can get to 19-20 skill boost with my flex sub to let Yugi transform turn 1, but that requires a 1/2 on type sub.

Are there any other strong Dark leads that can pair well with Nelle, maybe one that are coming soon in a collab. Or maybe some really nice subs coming soon, with SB and maybe a Time extend active ( main think im really missing is someway to take care of the Time debuffs in A6)

for Reference, I am currently trying to clear A6 AA3.
