    After dying on floors 17-19 many times and after thousands of stamina with 3-4 refreshes this week, I finally got to floor 20 with Gaslow and CLEARED! Ranked up with near full stamina too...

    Everyone seems to be having trouble deciding what subs and equips to use on their Fagan teams. I've been obsessively thinking about it too so I figured I'd share some of my thoughts on subs that stand out to me to help some of you guys (and hopefully reduce the amount Rai team help threads we keep getting). For cards that don't need (or deserve because its not that great of a sub) any or much explanation I'm not gonna write a spiel, but for others I'll try to explain bluntly. Btw, anyone ever think about how 'sub' is shorthand for 'subordinate.' Such a strange word. 🤷‍♂️

    Subs:

    Akine: full resist SA, really only works if you don't go dual Rai to make up for lack of SB. Since she has a void void it helps against damage nulls when you don't have 2 Rai also

    Dolq: 5 SBs and very high LB stats for a 5 star, delay active for 2 extra turns to get Rai up. Use UB+ SA on him probably. Also, I like twinks and Dolq is one so I like him extra as a sub.

    Rikuu: Shit stats, but has hazard resists, Skill Charge to get an inherit up, and 5 SBs. With LB can get UB+ or a single L-unlock to stop locked skyfall

    Athena Another: Off type but makes up for that with 5 SBs and a haste active for 6 turn boost, 2 blind resists, and makes heal orbs for the occasional column FUA or to get healed up when heart orb trolled.

    Dark Ragdra: 2 SBs and 2 haste active with board.

    HeraDra: 3SBs and a haste active. Works well for a light focused team or a team that has a column FUA as a backup.

    Valeria: the SBs man. The SBs. The refresh active can also charge a turn

    Diao Chan: 4 SBs, easy to inherit over active, full blind res, L-Unlock

    Kio: 4 SBs and easy to inherit over

    Droid Dragon: to tell hazards to fuck off. Its not often you get a chance to use Droiddra and we get another one soon. You want SBs from a non Rai pairing though.

    Uesugi Kenshin: 3 SBs and short Fujin active. GungHo... give Sam 3 limit breaks. Please don't just give awoken ults with different actives like how you wronged Celtic.

    Ruddy: piano player from DracoO. 4 SBs

    No 5687: has shield up almost always, shield can help stall at beginning of dungeon if you can't get Rai up turn one, 3 SBs, 2 SBRs

    Base Minaka: SBs but better if evolved and used as a lead for a different team

    Orochi: both SRevo and Academy have 3 or 4 SBs and a good delay active

    Soniaanother: haste active and 3 SBs

    Revo Sun Wukong: Put 4 on the team all with L-shield SA, psuedo haste system to get RAI to transform with some SB equips. Box FUA and rows for the win. Get a Fujin equip on one of them. (I have this team and love it!!!!)

    Zinogre: 4 SBs, Fujin active that makes a rainbow FUA board for Fagan, and Skill charge to get it up early. Also a stat stick.

    RagDra, Odindra, Red Ragdra, Nergigante, Radra, Whaledor, Avalon Drake, Apocalypse Dragon (who remembers Apocalypse Dragon?), Lajoa, Ideal, Marcis

    Equips:

    Akine: void void and hazard resists

    LFord: SB and Void Void. Good on Rai. Gives some resists

    Rai Equip: SB, cloud, HP boosts

    Kurama Equip: unmatchable, jammer res, awoken bind, refresh

    Jhoira Equip: haste and cloud and awoken bind

    Athena Another: SB, haste active, active makes 5 hearts, Skill lock resist (watch out for turn 1 skill looks because base rai doesnt have any SBRs) this is one of very few ways to get 2 extra charges if you put it on a base card with a low enough cooldown.

    Rikuu: SB, SBR, buffer for delays

    Navi and Orya: good actives and UB for Rikuu if you take L-Unlock SA.

    Anna Equip: Tape res, SBR, awoken bind, color resists

    Sumire: Haste active can be used to get Rai up if the base active is short enough, SBR, makes hearts

    Balthier: TE+, way to get L-Unlock on the team, board refresh

    Marcis: SB and TPA. Good heal and damage boost on some teams.

    Akuma: SB and fujin

    Nameless: SB and rainbow board

    Bride Zela: SB, good board since the Rais do all the damage, box fua can be useful too, SB

    Zinogre: resists and fujin

    Tao Ren Equip: I like his equip on a monster with an active I won't or might not use like a Fujin (Rikuu and Dolq are also good for it) because then late game the 3 turn haste can do something like get Rai's Void Void up to save you. He'd great on Zaerog if you pair with him.

    Any other SB equips, shield equips, resist stick equips....

    Bonus!

    Pairings for Rai if you don't have one:

    Base Akine: not a great one since you'll either have to use a badge or equip to make her unbindable, but she has a 50% shield, void void active, high multiplier, and hazard resist awakenings. The shield is achievable because of the RCV boost from Rai. Base Akine makes for a better pairing because of her leaderskill not limiting subs to just god and dragons.

    Evo Core: 5 SBs, good multiplier, helps HP, adds a shield, fujin active. Trouble that a preemptive strike or any other hit can mess up your multiplier and cause loss of shield. Don't let the Hp management scare you, you can play around it and the team can be very good.

    Zinogre: 4 SBs, double 25% shield, Fujin active

    Saber: not as good as Core and has the same problems with the shield being HP dependent.

    Marcis: same multiplier as Core, but a better shield because no HP threshold. Evo form has more SBs, but doesn't have the shield so the base form is better. Also has same HP multiplier as dual Rai.

    Uruka: 7x6 board, shield or RCV boost, HP boost, fujin active.

    This definitely doesn't include all the good options for Rai, but its the ones I know of and like. If you think of others leave it in the comments. I hope I helped people trying to make a team. SDR latents are very nice for Rai. I like having some color resist latents on the subs.
