    Using GachaDra numbers, the number of players in NA can be estimated, a la /u/swng's comment here and /u/demonwing's reply here. Using the following replies to that chain in this post, this number can more accurately estimated (source commenter in brackets).

    • 18.9% capped (999999) [/u/ImNotNeko]
    • 9.1% received between 280908 and 999999, likely leaning towards the lower side (say, average 400k) [ImNotNeko + /u/sprcow]
    • 2% received between 244999 (based on reported 30% cutoff) and 280908 (~260k) [sprcow + /u/7fragment]
    • 6.8% between 133501 and 244999 (~180k) [still 7frag]
    • 6.9% between 80575 and 133501 (~100k) [7frag + /u/cloudkiller]
    • 36.9% between 7896 and 80575 (likely leaning heavily towards the lower side, ~20k) [still cloud]
    • 6.4% between ~5700 and 7896 (~6.5k, towards lower side) [cloud + /u/byteblade]
    • 13% between 0 and ~5700 (~2k, towards lower side) [still byte]

    This can be solved (add percentage multiplied by estimated score, 262900.81110*x = 7364429537) to give about 28.5k players in NA.

    Changing some of the numbers doesn't really change much. Saying that the 9.11% scored an average of 450k only changes that number to 28k (every increase in 50k in that interval is approx. 500 less players), and saying that the 36.9% of players scored ~40k lowers that number to 27.8k.

    Note that there may be semi-active players that simply ignored it (not knowing how it works/not wanting to deal with it/skipping all rankings, etc) or couldn't play. These players are not counted in the ranking %ages. Obviously, these are also simply estimates. (Feel free to reply with more scores/%s!)

    EDIT: Quick TL;DR: Using (not-capped) gachadra scores and %ages, approximately 28-29k players (update: ~27-28k) took part in the ranking. However, this is only an estimate and leaves out all players (including those who logged in during the duration of the ranking) who did not do at least one run.

    EDIT2:
    With /u/swng's numbers I can split up the 9.1% into:

    • 1.1% between 759047 and 999999 (~825k since most of those close to cap probably capped, so most in this range are probably closer to 760-850k. Known exception: OP of the post in which this convo started. RIP.)
    • 2% between 527401 and 759047 (~625k)
    • 6% between 280908 and 527401 (~400k)

    Assuming the other estimated scores are the same, this revises the approx. number of players to 27.5k.

    This leader pairing sucks ass. No idea why it was so popular in JP.. had a feeling like why am I giving up a plus 1 combo and raw power to limit to having to blob 5 orbs and probably not get 7 combos then. Take my advice trash, be mad you didn’t get green ranger assist, but this form seems trashy
