[Guide] Dai no Daibouken (The Great Adventure of Dai) Trade Anaylsis and Collab Thoughts

With the most recent data download Dai no Daibouken collab is (most likely) confirmed for Monday

Here are some of my thoughts on the trades and the collab in general.

Trades

Dai

I am not too well versed on Daytona teambuilding but Dai appears to be a stable sub on the team. Full jammer resist with a potential 5 7c along with his VDP active make him a worthy candidate on Daytona teams. He can also fit on Dalia teams which also struggle with VDP. Even outside of these teams he appears to be a generally good light sub.

Uvo Dai is mostly used in TA3 system farming. Not much else to say here. Keep in mind though that the system swipe Dai teams require multiple copies of him and use multiple light row assists such as DM Zeus' assist.

Dai's assist is nothing much to write about but is nice if light rows come back into the meta. On non-light row teams, better light OE + L weapons exist.

Overall, trade for Dai if you intend on rolling for Daytona, would like a good light sub in your backpocket, or are missing a Dai for Ta3 farming. I would not recommend trading for multiple Dai's just for the sake of TA3 farming though as his trade is expensive and there are other options for monster xp.

Avan

Base Avan is a nice asymmetrical auto FUA pairing for Dalia. He may also see some use outside of Dalia pairing with his 5 turn delay to help with transform stalling.

Uvo Avan is another generally good light sub with a Polowne active + a spike. However, these days, 1 turn of attribute/damage absorb void tend to not be enough though. Similar to Dai, he's just a generally good light sub.

Avan's assist is basically Amatsu's equip but with an L instead of cloud. Like Lina and Amatsu equip, sb+gimmick counter+2 turn haste tend to be very viable for a very long time. Avan is entirely worth trading for just his assist.

Overall, trade for Avan for his assist. The lina/amatsu style of assist are extremely powerful and I don't see this style of equip becoming unviable anytime soon.

Baran

Baran's base form is very interesting. Once he transforms he becomes an abolsute powerhouse with a 5 7c and a 4 turn light+dark+heart board change, 1 turn VDP, and 10x self buff active. His sub viability is questionable as the meta dark team (Itadori/Mahito) has no problems with VDP and his active unfortunately does not overwrite attack debuffs. His viability as a leader is also questionable as Itadori/Mahito is just better than Baran/Baran or Baran/some other dark multicombo leader.

Baran's assist on the other hand is very good as it offers 2 SBR, 2 team hp, and 1 poison. This equip is an upgrade over Street Fighter Evil Ryu's weapon though the trade is not as good if you already own Evil Ryu's weapon.

Overall, with how SBR starved some teams can be, trading for Baran for his assist may be very worth it. However the value of this trade drops a lot if you already have Evil Ryu's equip.

Collab Thoughts

This collab is definitely geared more towards subs and equips. Lots of the 7 stars are fantastic subs and many of the 6 stars have decent equips considering that they're what you're going to be rolling the most.

Personally, I am going to be gunning hard for Popp and Hadlar as Popp has long term sub viability and Hadlar fits in pretty well as a VDP sub on Itadori/Mahito teams.

Exp lead swap team suggestions for asr1

Anyone know of any consistent/easy exp lead swaps for asr1? I have polowne and saline for exp and a few swap equips and todo.

I can consistently clear with jurond system (minus lucifer fails) but I'm currently rank 983 and 40+ more runs sounds kind of miserable so if I was wondering if people had ideas for teams that give more xp.

Just ranking them based on their usage, lifespan, metaness, etc. just all kinda jumbled up together (targeted towards their prime):

SS: VIdeal, AValeria, CTamadra, BMariel, HChakeol

S: BZela, NYReeche, BPlanar, AKio

A: BVeroah, HMadoo, VAkine, BYuri

B: BRoche

C (aka why are you even this rare??): CSaline, HSuou, NYLajoa

And I'd say currently it's this:

SS: AValeria, BMariel, HChakeol

S: CTamadra, BPlanar

A: VAkine, AKio, BYuri (?)

B: NYReeche, VIdeal

C: Literally Everyone else

F: CSaline

Yeah they don't have good lifespans honestly. Either they're superstars that see a lot of use or flop and fail. You just have to watch out for gems like VIdeal, AValeria, and HChakeol. I mean just look at how horrible stuff like NYLajoa and CSaline are.

Seasonal 10* have always been the chase cards of a Seasonal Egg Machine and the event that corresponds with it, ever since 2019 with the release of Solitary Peak Bride, Zela. As we go through Halloween with the newest in this lineup, Chakeol, I want to ask you a few questions about these powerhouses.
