The viability of Dark Roche in pure rainbow teams (DRoche propaganda)

    Posted: 07 Jul 2021 12:37 PM PDT

(I bolded the most important parts for those who don't have the time or patience to read this fully.)

I would like to talk about my recent experiences and opinions concerning Dark Roche.

Historically, Dark Roche has been seen in monodark teams as a sub. With EACs and low cd dark orb generators (transforms) being the meta in monocolor teams, Dark Roche has no place in the strongest monodark teams possible. She has a mediocre active, only two SBs (without SA) for transform teams, and a personal multiplier that is rendered obsolete by the high team damage output EACs enable.

Recent buffs to Dark Roche have made her a leader potentially capable of clearing endgame content (Disclaimer: I have little to no knowledge about dungeons past ASR2, namely the hexazeon and albrecht dungeons). She should have no trouble clearing any dungeon before ASR2, and I fully believe it is possible to clear ASR2 with the follow team composition: [DSophie] - [ZaerogInfinity] - [Cardinal] - [Koyomi] - [Wildcard] - [DRoche]. However, I have not been able to test this hypothesis because I don't own Sophie or Koyomi.

As monodark teams are extremely hard to play without Koyomi, I experimented with other leaders and arrived at the conclusion that Dark Roche has a natural affinity for rainbow teams in the current metagame.

While Dark Roche doesn't seem to be suited for rainbow teams at first glance due to her active eating two colors, her personal multiplier of 64x is a great solution to rainbow's traditional problem of having low personal multipliers. Dark Roche is a very efficient hitter in rainbow teams, being able to clear floors without actives by utilizing both a VDP latent and the relatively high leader multipliers of rainbow teams in conjunction with her extremely large personal multiplier.

The two major downsides of running Dark Roche in a rainbow team is her subpar active (within the context of a rainbow team), and the loss of an additional team slot due to the necessary inclusion of Zaerog Infinity to reliably activate her multiplier. A wonderful solution to both downsides exists in the form of Yashamaru equip, a <50 weapon with an extremely valuable active on a decently low cooldown. This allows Dark Roche to function as both a hitter and a cleric, making teambuilding much less restrictive.

Putting these concepts into application, I was able to design a pure rainbow team (7x6 RValeria/Zinogre) around Dark Roche that is capable of clearing ASR2 (https://imgur.com/a/VcXSoJR). The team focuses on having enough bulk to stall most floors (effective health > 600k, complete resistance to poison/jammer skyfall + spawn) at the expense of not being able to burst floors as hard as most meta teams due to the lack of hitters. To quantify the efficient hitting of Dark Roche within this specific composition, Dark Roche's primary attribute dealt 700m, 1.4b, and 2.1b with 1, 2, and 3 dark combos respectively in a ~12c board post leader swap. The simple and linear nature of Roche's damage output (due to the lack of EAC) is an important factor in being able to damage control, an extremely important aspect of low-burst teams.

Please try playing with Dark Roche - although she clearly has no place in the upper echelons of the metagame, she is definitely viable, very cute, and is an interesting monster to design teams around.

    PADx replacement that's regularly updated?

    Posted: 07 Jul 2021 10:54 AM PDT

    Greetings,

I haven't been doing a very good job of keeping up with things lately. I do know PADx isn't updated regularly anymore, is there another source where I can find accurate dungeon information, drops, stats, so on that's updated regularly with NA and JP?

    Thanks.

    Best way to level?

    Posted: 07 Jul 2021 07:51 AM PDT

Currently sitting at 985 and want to push to 1000. Haven't done Shura 2/3 yet and was wondering if they were better from a pure XP standpoint to grind or if AShura 1 was still the best. Thanks for any input.

Game crashing upon entering TA2 (android)?

    Posted: 07 Jul 2021 11:10 AM PDT

Just making a post to see if anyone else is experiencing this. The game crashes immediately after entering the dungeon, before the first floor even loads. After I reopen pad, I've lost 99 stamina but it returns me to the main menu. I've been able to run other dungeons, like samurai shodown 3p, but TA2 has caused this both times I tried. I'll try again after rebooting my phone after my stamina refills and update the post with whether that helps.

Update: I just tried again after rank refilling with kotg. Looks like I was mistaken. The bug occurs when you start pad fresh, and crashes the first dungeon you attempt. After that you can run dungeons normally. So I guess the takeaway is that I'll be crashing my game on kotg intentionally to avoid wasting Stam then playing normally :/

I hit 1000 days a few weeks back. This project sums up what a box tour would look like. 74 farmable fire OE, because, why not.

    Lvl 110/120 stat button

    Posted: 07 Jul 2021 02:21 AM PDT

So is there any way to see the 110/120 stats of a card you already own/own one of? For example, I own one selica. My selica is in her Evo form and I want to see her stats at 120. Instead of the stats button, there's just the favorite button.

I know if you're looking at different evos on the Evo tree, it shows the stats button so you can look at SAs, but what about the ones you're actively using? Feels like a dumb oversight unless I'm missing something.
