    Take SR Astaroth for example

    • ✔️ SR Astaroth / 4 SR subs / Chakeol
    • ✔️ Chakeol / 4 SR subs / SR Astaroth
      • The reverse works
    • ✔️ SR Astaroth / 2 SR subs, 2 empty slots / X
      • Works because "all subs" are REvos, empty slots are not subs

    This is the same for LS that require Pixel or certain collabs.

    This is my regular post at the end of each month wrapping up key releases in JP and providing my comments. The idea is NOT to provide a full review of each card but more of a highlight of specific cards - it's just my initial thoughts. I'm going to focus on cards that'll have a chance to come to NA. Big thanks to Protic blog as usual for translations which I'll reference a lot.

    As usual, this is based off my playing experience in JP along with watching various JP youtubers. Note that I only play single player so can't comment on multiplayer aspects. Events below are in chronological order (oldest at the top).

    Shaman King Collab - should be coming to NA given the 1st run did (https://pad.protic.site/shaman-king-collab-2nd-run/)

    • Strong buffs to the existing cast of Yoh, Hao and Anna but nothing game breaking
    • Saigan - has potential but doesn't have a great pairing right now although Tifa does work
    • Redseb - yet another good pairing for Grigory as well as excellent sub but the equip might be even better (haven't found any amazing uses yet)
    • Lasso - very high value 5* for both farming as well as excellent sub for BrideKuvia as well as equip for TA2/A5 farming
    • Horohoro - best Norza equip

    Rolling Advice

    • Definitely worth rolling if you missed the first run as all the cards have value of some form, particularly the equips

    GFE Buffs - Lots of great upgrades for underused cards(https://pad.protic.site/the-buffs-select-fest-exclusives-buffed/)

    • Kaede - even without a Mega evo she's still amazing with a 10 orb haste convert. Yes you can now system AA3. (https://youtu.be/qAnY9cCXnQg)
    • Dantalion - same as Kaede but the revo form is now a default sub for any fire team
    • Grem - revo is a legitimate Yugi/V sub for AA4
    • Ilm/Baldin - now AA4 capable

    DMC Collab - What? FINALLY (https://pad.protic.site/dmc-collab-details/)

    • Dante - waiting for fire witch
    • Vergil - ok leader, amazing sub for Norza/V+Yugi
    • Lucia - "best" pairing for Algei if you've got the team - fast and safe
    • V - Yugi pairing for AA4. Currently V-system-ing?? A5 in 6 mins. Evo is the best inherit Aten counter
    • Nero - Tons of potential with 1CD active, waiting for a team IMO
    • Nico - Amazing equip, worth buying the bundle for AA4

    Rolling Advice

    • Rates are pretty low at 12.5% and the 5* cast is very weak

    • Yamamoto - got potential but his equip is just too good

    Stream Evos - GH really does a good job keeping cards updated (https://pad.protic.site/enjoy-at-home-special-stream-recap-translations/)

    • Kenshin - top tier equip and sub
    • All other samurai - from gathering dust in my box to top tier equips
    • BSonia - AA4 capable team with Vergil pairing
    • SYomi - PSI savior!
    • SVitra - very good damage stick for AA4 - take that Aten/Yomidra/Radra!
    • SThor - love the animation!

    Does anybody remember the desktop application that let you set orbs wherever you wanted which was great for testing out cascades and board setups? It had a timer but no movement time limit like PAD if that helps. Thanks!

    How to Make Att. Absorb Latent Worthwhile?

    Right now this latent is nearly worthless since it affects only the sub that has it.

    I'd be extremely surprised if GungHo doesn't end up buffing it, so what are some ways to make it viable?

    My thought was that it should allow you to bypass the attribute shield with all sources of damage on your team that share an attribute with the monster that has the attribute absorb latent.

    What exactly are we supposed to be doing before the binds are up? I have witnessed people comboing the hazards, 10 combo, 1 combo or just completely avoiding the hazards and we ALWAYS get the "your weak text" with the same mechanics. Does it matter or is there something else he does?

    After the new revo changes I've gotten pretty annoyed that some older god fests seem to be forgotten by gungho (kaede). I don't know if I'm just going crazy, but it feels like so many exclusives that came out waaaaay later than her have gotten megas so much sooner. Kanna is another example, it feels like it took ages for her to finally get a mega.

    So how the heck does gungho pick who gets mega evos? Is there some sort of order to this madness? Or am I just mixing up when god fests came out.

    Farmable Full Light Board Changer

    Is it correct that light is the only color without a farmable full board changer? Assuming that is true, who do you think would make a good candidate? A new form of an existing monster or a brand new monster?

    I would have liked if pixel Zeus was a full board. I'm sure it would have to come with some negative effect like Satan does.

    Question about the new vdp latent.

    If i put the new latent on grigory, will the entire attack (including all the prong stack) be transfered to the vdp damage or it only takes effect on killer latent, 7c, 10c and normal match attack (stack) ? TIA

    [JP] Norza with Vergil makes AA4 so buttery smooth. Probably my best experience running Norza so far, with highest clear rate. No more stuck at the usual devil floors.
